Website Modifications

I need someone to make some website changes for me (I’m swamped with other work and need to get this done asap – the programmer originally hired for this did not complete the job) There’s a few changes, most are simple and I imagine they shouldn’t take very long. You can see the site currently here: http://122.201.74.47/~express/index.html FIRST CHANGE ———— Attached [...]

How to Build an Auto-Expanding Textarea jQuery Plugin, Part 1

Auto-expanding textarea elements are popular on sites such as Facebook. The height of the textarea box expands and contracts depending on the quantity of text the user enters. There are several advantages:

This 3-part tutorial describes how to build an auto-expanding textarea using HTML and a reusable jQuery plugin. By the end of part 3, you will understand how it works and have code to use in your own projects.

We will implement the solution as a jQuery plugin. jQuery is primarily used to handle the more mundane aspects of DOM sniffing and event delegation; you could easily re-write the code using another framework.

First, we can assign a “keyup” event handler to any textarea. This will call a function just after a key has been pressed and the text has been modified.

HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Spectacular Touchscreen Technology Delivers Outstanding Results By Andrew Ramsey

The HTC Touch Diamond 2 is a light weight and slim touch screen phone, weighing only 4.15 ounces and being only 13.7mm thick, that’s packed with functions that create a unique connection between the phone and the user. For staying in touch, the HTC Touch Diamond 2 has 3.2 inch TFT LCD display with a special TouchFlo 3D user interface that makes it easy to access contacts, send an email, view photos or take advantage of many other functions. The screen is built to be very finger friendly: no squeezing the very tips of your fingers onto small boxes or buttons on the screen. The icons on the HTC Touch Diamond 2 are enlarged for ease of use. For the user’s convenience, the phone also offers Bluetooth connectivity, so you never have to worry about holding your phone to your head or being troubled with cumbersome wired headsets.

The screen resolution of the HTC Touch Diamond 2 is 480 X 800 pixels for a display that guarantees sharp and clear images when utilizing the multimedia features of the phone. The entertainment [...]

Jquery And Mootools- Same Page

I would like some help using mootools and jquery together. I have a site that uses mootools for sliding in the navigation links. I have an overlay contact form that uses a jQuery plugin called SimpleModal. I have an image gallery that uses jQuery. I need to make them work together, or find a way to make the links slide with jquery instead of mootools.

Post Thanks The Ajaxist!

Woot Tracking Website

There is existing code for the site however we wish for it to be used only as reference and prefer a complete recode of the site.
The site needs to be coded in ASP and capable of running on a Windows 2003/IIS server with the utilization on a MySQL backend if needed and utilizing CSS.
The code needs to be clean and optimized to minimize server and bandwidth utilization.
The site also needs to be cross browser compatible, and search engine optimized as best as possible (We realize this is not an SEO project).

- The site is primarily advertising and donation supported.
Each page/section needs to be able to display up-to 8 different ads including Google ads optimized to show ads relevant to the current product on Woot.com.
Each ad zone needs to be configurable within an admin panel to refresh as different intervals, track displays, track clicks and add/remove/enable/disable ads.
Contextual & Inline ads need to be able to display for all text located on the site including [...]
